Spotlight on Research: Catalysing the Realisation of Human Potential in the Age of Generative AI
The event also featured the launch of PROPEL-X (Platform for Rewarding Ownership, Proofs of Learning, Value Creation, Emergence & Leadership – Xpeditions), a new platform developed by CRPO in collaboration with A*STAR I²R. The platform aims to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry by offering structured workflows, guided feedback loops, and milestone-tracking tools that help minimise friction in the research translation process. PROPEL-X includes AI-enabled features to help researchers refine and develop their solutions more effectively.

Fireside Chat: US Perspectives on Cybersecurity Demand and Investment Trends
During the Fireside Chat, US-based investors and cybersecurity leaders shared their views on emerging shifts in global demand for cybersecurity technologies. They observed that organisations are increasingly seeking AI-native security capabilities, unified security platforms, and automation-driven SOC operations. They also highlighted the growing importance of validating solutions early through close engagement with real customers and industry partners.
The speakers noted that Singapore is well-positioned as a regional innovation hub due to its strong regulatory frameworks, talent pool, and supportive ecosystem. They added that these strengths create favourable conditions for cybersecurity start-ups to scale into Asian and global markets.

Panel Discussion: From Innovation to Enterprise Impact
The panel discussion examined how cybersecurity innovations can successfully develop into enterprise-ready solutions. Panellists agreed that deep-tech innovations must show clear business value, strong technical credibility, and readiness for enterprise integration to gain acceptance. They stressed the importance of agility and early collaboration with CISOs and enterprise users, as such engagement helps innovators validate use cases and create solutions that address real operational needs.
The discussion also highlighted that enterprises now expect cybersecurity solutions to deliver predictive insights, automated responses, and minimal operational burden. The panellists noted that TIG Centre and CRPO play a crucial role in supporting start-ups and researchers as they transition from ideation to prototype development and ultimately to industry deployment.

Recognising CyberSG Community Partners
This year’s Innovation Day 2025 also acknowledged the contributions of CyberSG community partners who support the ecosystem through technical review panels, ecosystem-building initiatives, and mentorship. Their expertise and support enable innovators to validate their prototypes under realistic conditions and accelerate the pathway to deployment.
